Scope: Global with about $300 million spend
The Global IT Procurement Leader (Assoc. Director) sets the global strategy for procurement for the entire IT category (approaching $300 million in spend) ensuring the organization is leveraging its global volumes, spend and relationships (CIO and Leadership) in a way that benefits the organization as an enterprise. Ensure implementation and compliance with global strategy. Own key stakeholder relationships, including the CIO and leadership team, and communicates strategies to regional procurement directors and other regional resources. The Global IT Procurement Leader will be a member of the ITS leadership team, regularly collaborating with the team, virtually and face-to-face.
Setting Category Strategy
Develops game changing strategies for the IT category globally with the collaboration of regional procurement teams and • Sets global strategy aligned to business needs and presents on a regular basis to executive stakeholders within IT and Procurement and regional procurement teams • Primary Procurement interface with the Global IT organization in the development and execution of the global technology roadmap • Sets aggressive targets for cost reduction and innovation globally • Responsible for providing expert-level category knowledge, with knowledge of the supply base and global market • Creates global execution plan (Global categories) • Present category strategy to the CPO and her immediate team for approval • Understands global benchmarks (pricing and practices)
Supplier relationship management (Global categories) • Primary face to the supplier • Coordinates efforts of third party procurement resources • Owns and manages supplier relationship on a global scale • Negotiates with key suppliers on behalf of the K-C enterprise globally
Leadership/people development • Represents the category at global meetings as appropriate • Develops tools and best practices for regional buyers
Global alignment • Primary leader responsible for ensuring positive stakeholder experience • Develops a strong regional procurement team and incorporates input into strategy • Engages executive level category stakeholders to understand business unit needs • Shares best practices, new technologies and wins within the category across all regions (NA, LAO, EMEA, APAC) • Challenges and pushes team to achieve aggressive savings targets • Escalates alignment issues to VP Procurement or CPO • Ensures regional alignment with global strategy • Understands and manages regional differences • Knowledge development • Develops and maintains knowledge-base of the category

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree required • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Procurement • Global experience, supporting multiple regions/geographies and/or business units • Strong domain knowledge and experience within IT category
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Advanced degree (Masters) preferred • 10 or more years of Global Procurement experience supporting the Information Technology function
