SCOPE:

These positions vary in scope based on the need of the organization but generally are responsible for leading leaders in areas of manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain functions.  These positions will be leading business teams striving for consistency and alignment purposes related to best practices and standardization opportunities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Establish and maintain an optimum organization, by providing an environment which allows team members to develop themselves to their maximum potential and will result in all team members considering their organization a fair and equitable place of employment.  Develop and maintain high levels of safety and loss prevention awareness through development of sound safety and loss prevention programs to ensure positive attitudes and compliance with government regulations, corporate policies and the achievement of safety objectives. Develop and maintain high levels of quality and regulatory systems that will assure conformance to specifications and focus on continuous improvement of processes.  Develop and implement continuing cost improvement plans and programs that will ensure continuity of a competitive and profitable organization. Ensure application of established financial controls by providing operating management direction and support to the implementation and maintenance of financial policies, instructions, and internal control procedures. Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates, and others who have need to know.  Be informative without being obtrusive or vexatious.  Communicate in a way that is timely, yet prompt; complete, yet concise; candid, yet accurate; and clear, yet responsive. Provide leadership to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains the best people and fosters an environment which motivates a diverse team to fully use its capabilities in achieving desired business results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience in managing a manufacturing plant.
  • Extensive (typically 15 to 20 years) Supply Chain leadership expertise and manufacturing operations knowledge.
  • Ability to organize and plan, delegate, lead, and motivate people.
  • The position requires broad knowledge and extensive experience in business management, including the successful management of a functional department/organization. 
  • Judgment and ability to interact effectively with governmental agencies to maintain positive community relations is required.

Title: Strategy Deployment and Continuous Improvement Consultant

This position is responsible for driving LEAN transformation and strategic deployment across the North American Business Analysis organization. Responsibilities include leading and facilitating strategic deployment of priority initiatives including communication and change management activities; facilitating problem solving and strategic deployment events and driving organizational capability building for LEAN competencies identified as core to Business Analysis roles.

ORGANIZATION: People Responsibilities/ reporting line/partnerships

Other key relationships: Vice President of KCNA Business Analysis, Sr. Director, Family Care Business Analysis, Sr. Director, BCC Business Analysis, Sr. Director, Customer Development Business Analysis, Director, AFC Business Analysis

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Partner with the KCNA Leadership team to vision and drive transformation through strategic deployment. This individual plays a key role coordinating strategy deployment across an organization of over 100 team members that is aligned with global Finance initiatives and KCNA business priorities
§ Drive annual strategy planning and key priority selection
§ Enable a culture of accountability by designing and implementing effective visual management for priorities.
§ Assist the VP of Business Analysis and his leadership team as needed to plan strategy driving activities and engage the broader organization in initiatives.
§ Drive best practice sharing across functional areas using LEAN process improvement.
§ Drive LEAN culture and capability in support of the K-C LEAN Transformation. Specific areas of focus include:
o Leader for deployment of needed LEAN knowledge including the deployment of LEAN tools, processes and mental models, i.e.; Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, etc.
o Support establishment and communication of the LEAN philosophy, leadership culture and needed behavior changes.
o Define tactics and methods to foster employee engagement, successful change management and acceptance.
o Facilitate workshops and/or other forums to focus improvement, transfer knowledge, and engage team members, managers and leaders in activities supporting the business process LEAN transformation.
o Provide leadership in the anticipation, recognition, definition, and resolution of problems / opportunities associated with the K-C LEAN transformation.
o Surface methods to assess LEAN readiness and progress.
o Surface and recommend staff organizational requirements to deploy and sustain LEAN thinking, systems and tools.
§ Provide leadership to fully leverage external and internal benchmarking and standardization.
§ Support the identification, selection and coordination of internal and/or external resources needed to support a LEAN transformation.
§ Alignment on metrics and goals with Extended Lean Teams.
§ Provide support on training, roadmap development and end to end processes where necessary.
§ Drive Global Finance CI strategy deployment in targeted breakthrough areas.
