This position has direct impact and accountability for Customer Logistics performance optimization across the $3.1 billion Net Sales KCP business. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Along with the colleagues of the KC & KCP GSC Strategy teams, the incumbent is responsible for providing analysis & standard development to improve Global KCP business results in the areas of Service level, OTIF, Supply Chain NPS, Collaborative Planning, Supply Chain Sensing, Customer Service & Solutions Design to end to end Supply Chain Value. Work is strongly influenced by Global Supply Chain strategies and transformation agenda.
  • He/she is expected to lead medium to large sized KCP global projects managing (indirectly) multiple cross-functional team members and/or be an active contributor in large scaled Enterprise global projects collaborating with multiple cross-functional team members.
  • His/her customers expect from this role thought leadership, end to end Supply Chain expertise and Customer Collaboration experience in order to progress KCP Customer Experience and drive KCP Customer Innovation from Logistics perspective. Expectation is to focus on core Planning Standards elevating Service Level & OTIF and develop advanced Logistics Collaborative, Innovation, Supply Chain Sensing Capabilities.
  • He/she is expected to partner with other members of the different GSC areas in support of their initiatives and possibly external partners such as consultancies, 3PLs, Customers

EXPECTATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develops and supports deployment of Global KCP Standards and Models aligned to K-C Standards and in collaboration with KCP Regions and Global Partners in regards to Service Management System, Go to Market Framework, Net Promoter Score system, S&OP, Collaborative Planning, Digital Customer Platform and other Customer Collaboration capabilities
  • In particular, develops Operational Standards in complement of K-C Standards including RACI process model, Training template, Assessment Tool, Performance Management System and contributes to Organizational and System Design supporting OTIF, FA% and NPS KPI improvement
  • Contributes to Global and Regional Strategy Deployment developing Customer Centric approach by Distribution Channel across each segment of KCP Value Chain from Source to Use
  • Own Global Customer Logistic Dashboard and Performance and pilots Global Service level and Logistics Customer Experience/NPS Improvement in collaboration with regions and Global Business Partners
  • Designs and delivers work-sessions and lead work streams partnering with business experts to analyze, solve problems and identify common global best standard across KCP GSC areas, Regions and Businesses
  • Conducts interviews, leads brainstorming sessions, finds critical business information, and helps Business and Supply Chain leaders develop innovative approaches to their business
  • Ability to research and synthesize Best Practices, Technology and other Standards leveraging internal KCP/K-C or External sources
  • Helps build capabilities by delivering reports with industry best practices, developments, etc., building knowledge repositories, driving innovation/creativity in our analytical toolkit, codifying lessons learned, processes, frameworks and best practices to be shared broadly across the global organization
  • Own Customer Logistics KCP Global Master Data and Data Analytics Standard Systems and contributes to their development in liaison with Global Partners.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – CAPABILITIES / EXPERIENCE

  • EDUCATION REQUIRED/PREFERRED
    • Bachelor of Business Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, or Strategy with equivalent experience.
    • Graduate Degree (MBA) Preferred
  • EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS
    • 10+  years of progressive work experience in Supply Chain, Demand and Supply Planning, Customer Care, Sales Operations, Physical Distribution with a history of demonstrated business success.
    • 5+ years of operational business unit experience in Customer Supply Chain & Logistics.
    • Experience with Digital Customer Platform and/or CRM and/or E-commerce.
    • Experience with ERP, Advanced Planning tools, VMI System and Collaborative Planning preferred.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Scope- Front End Innovation and Pilot facilities

Global Nonwovens (GNW) has an opening for an R&E Director to provide leadership, strategic direction and delivery of high value technical and material solutions to support K-C’s business strategies, innovation & growth plans, and cost transformation. This R&E Director role has responsibility for the Front End Innovation (FEI) portfolio in addition to the pilot facilities which provides nonwoven prototyping services to all of K-C. This role also provides leadership to key GNW subject matter experts in support of sector innovation and cost transformation goals. This position will interface with colleagues across GNW as well as global partners in KCNA, KCI, KCP, and CR&E and external partners in academia, government, industry and non-government organizations (NGOs). It is expected that the candidate will have relevant experience in nonwovens process and materials development.

Role Purpose/Scope

Provide leadership and strategic vision to develop and maintain a healthy FEI portfolio resulting in delivery of high value technical and material solution options to the BU IMF Teams, driving operational efficiency and new technologies in the pilot facilities to safely provide prototyping capabilities to all customers, and develop/coach both technical and management leadership to deliver a sustainable pipeline of talent for the future.

Primary Responsibilities

Innovation

  • Develop a healthy FEI pipeline working in partnership with GNW leadership and BU stakeholders to provide:
    • A portfolio that is aligned with BU innovation needs
    • Delivery of high value technical and material solution options to the BU IMF portfolios
    • FEI portfolio visibility to GNW, CR&E and BU’s Senior Leadership
  • Establish and grow connections across the BU R&E teams to provide clear direction on current innovation needs and longer term disruptive innovation opportunities
  • Ensure pilot facility provides a safe environment for customers and drive strategy for near/longer term innovation capabilities

Customer Confidence

  • Ensure the FEI portfolio is connected to the BU stated consumer needs and clearly indicates the benefits with key milestones including timing and cost

  • The Position and its Scope
    • Lead an in-region team of security managers and professionals, developing and implementing security strategies, programs and projects, and managing a security budget of $12M with a focus on the specific needs of the Latin America region.

Reporting: The person serves as an essential resource and investigative partner for Legal.  The direct reports for this position are eight (8) Security Managers assigned to each sub-region (Brazil, Austral, and Central America) and Security Managers in each country in the Andean sub-region (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela), twenty-nine (29) K-C security staff, and six hundred seventy-four (674) security officers (contracted).  This position provides direction to the Security Managers in each sub-region and their direct reports to ensure alignment with Global Security guidelines and policies for the company.

Advisor: This position is also responsible for the alignment and career development of the extended security team.  In particular, this position serves as an advisor to the President of LAO, and the region Vice President on all security and code of conduct matters.

Customers and Customer Expectations: Key customers including the President of Latin American Operations, the Managing Directors of Latin American sub-regions and countries, the sector and supply chain leads, mill/plant managers, and key leads in critical staff functions (Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Internal Control, Compliance).   Additional customers include enterprise senior leaders, with particular emphasis on the Chief Counsel, the Chief Counsel for K-C International, and the Chief Compliance Officer.  Indirect customers include U.S. and Latin America law enforcement representatives outside the enterprise.  Specific areas of focus will be developed by the Director together with the Global Security team and key customers.   Special customer focus areas include high-risk countries, personal security, supply chain security, crisis preparedness/management, investigations and support of our compliance programs, and travel security.

Align: business risk and mitigation strategies with the Latin American Operations President and his staff and other senior management personnel.  Partner with other key departments including Legal, Finance/Internal Control, Supply Chain and Operations in matrix teams. Provide on-going communications with these leaders to keep them informed, and stay informed of business conditions and changes.

Lead: Develop and champion international security programs, procedures, specialized services, and expertise to help ensure that the enterprise’s personnel, assets, information and reputation are protected from injury, damage or other forms of loss.

Investigate: Serve as an investigator for security and compliance investigations.  This role will:

  • Conduct investigations of non-compliance involving serious legal risks (Anti-Corruption/FCPA, Anti-Trust, Conflicts of Interest & Privacy), complex matters or matters involving senior-level executives in close collaboration with other control groups (Legal, Global Security, HR, Internal Audit, Internal Control) to leverage cross-functional expertise and support as needed.
  • Establish and maintain effective external partnerships and investigation resources (investigative firms, outside counsel, government agencies and industry).
  • Collaborate with other functions to develop the necessary forensic capabilities (internal & external) for the collection, collation and processing of electronic data (Laptops & Smartphones), review of e-mails and assist in the analysis of other evidence.
  • Communicate sanitized versions of lessons learned from significant investigations with enterprise impact in compliance training sessions and leadership forums.

Develop: strategic relationships with vendors in region to provide superior security, investigative and business support services, particularly in high risk countries.

Support: physical security assessments and evaluations of security programs and recommend changes in procedures, to include security equipment and assets to protect facilities.  Oversee technical support for new facilities and facility upgrades.
Communicate: Develop and maintain relationships with counterparts in other multi-national and national enterprises, international security consultants, investigative and law enforcement resources so the enterprise has access to the most current information and benchmarking information.

Qualifications/Experience/Education

  • Master’s degree or international equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position and more than seven years experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public service or multi-national’s security

SCOPE:

Incumbent reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing – North America Baby & Child Care and is responsible for all site activities at the Maumelle Facility.

The main challenge is to establish and achieve business objectives in the areas of safety, quality, customer service, cost, environmental, and community and employee relations.

The Maumelle Facility produces baby wipes in support of the Baby & Child Care Business. The Maumelle facility contains 8 converting lines used for the manufacture of baby wipes, 2 Coform manufacturing lines used to produce raw material that is converted into baby wipes and a solution mix operation used to prepare and deliver solution formulations to the converting lines.

The incumbent must coordinate activities and business strategies with the Conway Facility Manager on the topics of mutual interest and advantage. The incumbent must also work closely with the Mid-South Distribution Center operator to assure Kimberly-Clark’s positive presence in the community is maintained.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Summary of Position

    Leads a group of category directors responsible for marketing and professional services at Kimberly-Clark. Ensures that Kimberly-Clark’s total volume, spend and supplier relationships are leveraged across platforms and integrated for product and service optimization in accordance with business strategy. Actively participates as an enterprise leader on the Global Procurement Leadership Team including leading strategic initiatives across all business units and procurement teams. Responsible for challenging and directing global procurement strategies and commodity negotiations to ensure maximum enterprise benefit.

    Ensure procurement practices are in accordance with corporate ethics, financial instructions and internal control requirements and result in providing the requisite quality and safety.

Business Priorities:

  • Managing commodity pricing volatility which impacts business P&Ls by hundreds of millions dollars each year
  • Supply Risk mitigation to prevent material and services disruption and the potential associated revenue impact
  • Collaborating with Regional Procurement Leaders, Product Supply leaders, Functional leaders and suppliers to deliver exceptional service through supplier innovation
  • Enable business growth by providing margin and cash for investment

Role Accountabilities:

  • Lead the team to optimally manage the total external spend of marketing and professional services spend for Kimberly-Clark
  • Key interface with Regional/BU Procurement Leader to understand and deliver business requirements
  • Sets global strategies aligned to business needs in partnership with Regional/BU Procurement Leader and reviews on a regular basis
  • Maximize cost savings and value creation with key suppliers to improve Kimberly-Clark’s level of profitability
  • Guarantee continuity of service and deliver exceptional quality to the business
  • Drives supplier collaboration and innovation to bring additional value creation to customers, consumers, and internal stakeholders
  • Drive CI / Lean within the procurement team and across the supply chain working with suppliers on their lean initiatives
  • Maintain close, co-operative relationships with key customers including R&E, mill process teams, product development and sales & marketing
  • Accountable for the category spend of $2 – 3B annually across supply market categories through direct reports
  • Ensure specific project or supplier strategies are established for all majorservice contracts to consistently meet specifications, avoid supply interruptions, provide flexibility, mitigate risks, minimize Kimberly-Clark’s internal resources to manage supply and provide cost and / or product advantages.
  • Establish and manage relationships with suppliers who can provide Kimberly-Clark’s with technology innovations, speed to market, continuously improved quality and overall supply value for growth and improved financial returns.
  • Foster partnership relations with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain expertise, and provide advice, counsel and services, as requested, on supplier selection and relationships, negotiating, price and availability forecasting, expediting, and other purchasing problems and situations to other purchasing units and internal business groups worldwide.
  • Ensure application of established corporate financial controls within the department by providing operating management direction and support to the implementation and maintenance of financial policies, instructions, and internal control procedures.
  • Lead the development, communication and implementation of Procurement objectives, operating philosophies, business strategies and organizational visions.
  • Shape and sustain an effective, motivated team that delivers desired business results by providing vision and direction, building trust, selecting, coaching and developing team members, leveraging individual abilities and ensuring best practices are utilized.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business, supply chain, science, engineering or related discipline
  • 15-20 years of experience in increasingly broader procurement, supply chain or product supply roles with demonstrated track record of achievement and growth in leadership.
  • Internal to Kimberly-Clark candidates must currently be in a Director Level Position.
  • Extensive and broad managerial experience in team management
  • Technical knowledge of contract negotiation strategies and global contracting nuances.
  • Strong skills and experience with diagnosing and resolving complex issues and identifying transformational opportunities
  • Able to manage with ambiguity and autonomy
  • Experience within Procurement, Planning, Product Supply, and or business support team leadership roles
  • Ability to work in Large Complex Global organizations and at multiple levels to influence the source to shelf culture of Global Supply Chain
  • Must have strategic thinking, collaboration and change management capabilities, as well as thought leadership for the business and broader enterprise functions
  • Demonstrated experience developing talent and leading / inspiring a team to exceptional results
  • Interacts with the most senior levels of the Corporation and therefore must be able to effectively communicate and influence leaders and their deputies across cultures
  • Must have developed experience in supply market strategy and macro economics
  • Experience as a skilled negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in and commitment from internal and external partners
  • Ability to travel domestically and globally up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
