Purpose of the Position:

Manage all sales-related activities for the East Region of the Regional Anesthesia Division of the I-Flow Corporation. The primary purpose is to drive sales growth & generate additional revenue and profitability for the Corporation.

Responsibilities (fundamental job duties):

1.            Locate, screen and hire effective Territory Managers & Sales Associates that demonstrate strong Operating Room experience & contacts. Candidates must possess a successful track record, a strong work ethic and an ability to perform in a high-growth, high-pressure environment.

 

2.            Assess the strengths & weaknesses of each employee and establish a plan for continuous improvement. Ensure that each employee has awareness of and access to the appropriate resources.

 

3.            Continuously monitor sales performance, growth trends, specialties targeted & penetrated, etc. via field visits and direct interaction. Ensure proficiencies in selling, prospecting and administrative. Initiate personnel changes where necessary.

 

4.            Consistent with the above, the five “tenets” of Regional Management are as follows…

 

a.             Recruit methodically

b.            Select meticulously

c.             Train extensively

d.            Measure continuously

e.             Reward appropriately

External Interface:

Customers & prospects including Surgeons, Nurses, Anesthesiologists, Residents, Physician’s Assistants, O.R. Technicians, Materials Managers, Procurement Directors, and Hospital Administration including the CFO and CEO.

Internal Interface:

Inside Sales (extensively), Marketing, Business Development, Finance (including accounts receivable), Human Resources

Job Requirements:

Education:         College Degree required. Post Graduate training (ex. MBA) would be very helpful

Experience:       Five plus years of Medical Device- Surgical Sales experience required. Additionally, five years of successful Medical Sales Management experience leading a field based team required.

Specialized Knowledge: FDA QSR, MDD 93/42/EEC, ISO 13485, CMDR.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to travel extensively (50 – 80% per week on average).
