SCOPE

This position has direct impact and accountability for Customer Logistics performance optimization across the $3.1 billion Net Sales KCP business. The strategy in developing this new role is to establish the position first then develop a global collaborative matrix organization including operational leaders from Regional Business Units and Global KCP & KC teams. These resources will cover the following scope: Customer Services, Customer Logistics and Planning Collaboration, Distribution Services, Supply Chain Go-To-Market Strategy, Customer Supply Chain Satisfaction (NPS ), E-commerce & Digital Customer Services, Supply Chain Logistics, S&OP, Collaborative Demand Planning, Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance and IT Services.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Along with the colleagues of the KC & KCP GSC Strategy teams, the incumbent is responsible for providing analysis & standard development to improve Global KCP business results in the areas of Service level, OTIF, Supply Chain NPS, Collaborative Planning, Supply Chain Sensing, Customer Service & Solutions Design to end to end Supply Chain Value. Work is strongly influenced by Global Supply Chain strategies and transformation agenda.
  • He/she is expected to lead medium to large sized KCP global projects managing (indirectly) multiple cross-functional team members and/or be an active contributor in large scaled Enterprise global projects collaborating with multiple cross-functional team members.
  • His/her customers expect from this role thought leadership, end to end Supply Chain expertise and Customer Collaboration experience in order to progress KCP Customer Experience and drive KCP Customer Innovation from Logistics perspective. Expectation is to focus on core Planning Standards elevating Service Level & OTIF and develop advanced Logistics Collaborative, Innovation, Supply Chain Sensing Capabilities.
  • He/she is expected to partner with other members of the different GSC areas in support of their initiatives and possibly external partners such as consultancies, 3PLs, Customers

EXPECTATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develops and supports deployment of Global KCP Standards and Models aligned to K-C Standards and in collaboration with KCP Regions and Global Partners in regards to Service Management System, Go to Market Framework, Net Promoter Score system, S&OP, Collaborative Planning, Digital Customer Platform and other Customer Collaboration capabilities
  • In particular, develops Operational Standards in complement of K-C Standards including RACI process model, Training template, Assessment Tool, Performance Management System and contributes to Organizational and System Design supporting OTIF, FA% and NPS KPI improvement
  • Contributes to Global and Regional Strategy Deployment developing Customer Centric approach by Distribution Channel across each segment of KCP Value Chain from Source to Use
  • Own Global Customer Logistic Dashboard and Performance and pilots Global Service level and Logistics Customer Experience/NPS Improvement in collaboration with regions and Global Business Partners

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – CAPABILITIES / EXPERIENCE

  • EDUCATION REQUIRED/PREFERRED
    • Bachelor of Business Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, or Strategy with equivalent experience.
    • Graduate Degree (MBA) Preferred
  • EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS
    • 10+  years of progressive work experience in Supply Chain, Demand and Supply Planning, Customer Care, Sales Operations, Physical Distribution with a history of demonstrated business success.

Position Purpose:

Provides leadership to the KCP Customer Care organization for North America. The Director of Customer Care is responsible for the development and tactical execution of the strategic direction for the KCP North America Customer Care organization as well as the day-to-day operations. She/he is responsible for ensuring the Customer Care organization is aligned to advance the company’s mission and objectives, and to promote world class (industry leading) service, revenue, profitability and growth as an organization. This position oversees the entire North American Customer Care operations to insure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. In addition, he/she has responsibility for the Business Process Specialists team, oversees the training of the KCP North America Customer Care organization and leads special projects with a strong Customer Care component.

Scope

The position reports to the NA KCP Senior Director Marketing & Sales Operations and is responsible for the development and execution of the strategy and vision of the organization. This position provides strategic and functional work direction to the Customer Care Team and the BPS team. The incumbent also works closely with internal Planning, Distribution, Sales, and Marketing resources to address issues that impact order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. In addition, customer engagement is needed as required to support overall business needs with select customers. This position is also responsible for the prompt entry and coordination of all customer product orders from the receipt of initial communication until final delivery of the order, ensuring the best possible service is provided to customers in the most cost efficient manner.

Principle Accountabilities:

Lead the strategy development and execution of plans to support business objectives. Develop and upgrade Customer Service policies, procedures and strategies. Optimize processes, work standards, region alignment and departmental work flow. Provide leadership, guidance and training to seven team leaders and 65+ customer service analysts focusing on performance, quality, individual development and training objectives. Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results. Promote best practices aligned with the KCP business objectives and KC-One Behaviors of the KC organization. Qualifications / Education / Experience Required

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of logistics or Customer Service experience in a leadership role.     • Provide sound financial leadership, processes, and reporting to effectively manage K-C Global Supply Chain.
    • Contribute to identifying strategic global supply chain opportunities through advanced financial and operational analysis

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Key customers include the Chief Supply Chain Officer, the VP of Global Safety, Quality, Sustainability, and CI, the Chief Procurement Officer, the Sr. Director of Transportation, Director, KCI End to End Supply Chain, regional supply chain leaders, and their deputies.

  • Lead global supply chain business planning / FP&A, budgeting, business case development, and financial competency building. Apply financial concepts in an end-to-end business context covering manufacturing capacity planning and asset utilization; capital planning, investment and ROI across our entire mill network; S&OP; procurement; logistics and transportation; demand patterns and key drivers.
  • Establish an effective finance / business analysis support infrastructure for the Global Supply Chain organization including direct support and processes to interact with and leverage local and regional resources.
  • Work with the GSC leadership team to coordinate and develop capital investment proposals that support timely and profitable business decisions – this role, along with the Global Manufacturing VP will act as global capital process owners.
  • Establish and operate financial processes that provide timely, accurate and meaningful data to effectively manage the Global Supply Chain and continually improve ROI. Provide ongoing budget and spending control oversight to the GSC team.
  • Ensure application of efficient financial and operating controls supporting K-C’s requirements for an effective control environment.

  • Drive process improvements designed to increase efficiency within the finance function and K-C as it pertains to optimizing our GSC spend.

Principal accountabilities:

SCOPE:

The incumbent will support the top and bottom line growth of the Kimberly-Clark Wal-Mart Business unit through the development and training of best practices that influence the forecasting and replenishment of product through Wal-Mart Inc. This person will serve as the team leader and subject matter expert in the management of Wal-Mart Inc.’s forecasting and replenishment processes and systems. The incumbent will be responsible for the development and documentation of best practices and training materials. This person will serve as a project manager, subject matter expert and/or K-C lobbyist on key Wal-Mart Inc. initiatives relating to forecasting and replenishment. The Healthcare global business plans rely on Logistics / Supply Chain capabilities as a strategic enabler to drive Cash Conversion and to gain a competitive advantage in the market. The incumbent has the overall responsibility for the Planning, Logistics and Supply Chain functions in support of these businesses, including the authority to make key decisions and commit human and financial resources in order to support growth and profitability plans.
Reporting to the incumbent are four managers who lead teams focused on 1) Production Planning & Product Supply 2) two roles Distribution Operations & Analysis, 3) Sales and Operations Planning.
