Position Purpose:

  • Responsible for the Global Deliver Network for GBS. This includes 4 large internal centers located in US, Costa Rica, England, and Malaysia. It could also include the opening of new internal centers at locations to be determined.
  • Responsible for Supplier Management of key 3rd party suppliers who are performing operational work.
  • Will design, build, and maintain the location optimization strategy determining where work will be placed.
  • Responsible for Operational SLAs, KPIs, and overall performance of Operations.
  • Accountable for the effective transition of work across multiple functions and all regions of the world. This will be in the 100’s of FTEs worth of work in the next few years
  • Functional areas served include Account to Report, Order to Cash, Rec to PO, PO to Pay, Internal Controls, with expansion opportunities in Hire to Retire, Legal Services, Sales, Marketing, and Tax Filings.
  • Works with Global Process Owners to define SLAs, Process Standards, Operational specifics, and Performance Standards.
  • Negotiates and owns very large supplier contracts serving Kimberly Clark globally.
  • Will interact closely with Senior Leaders, participating in Governance Committees, SteerCos, and Top to Top supplier meetings.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Owns and is accountable for the Global Delivery Network made up currently of 4 large Delivery Centers, and Multiple Global Supplier Contracts.

  • Direct Reports will be made up of 4 center leaders, all Directors, and a Director of Global Supplier Management. The team is expected to grow as the delivery network expands with additional scope.
  • Will be accountable for delivering and managing an operational model that will deliver savings in the 100’s of millions of dollars.
  • Defines the operational strategies and effective operations programs to deliver on the business case.
  • Constantly is measuring and benchmarking operational effectiveness always looking for improvements to operational activities.
  • Will create, maintain, and constantly refresh the Global location strategy for the delivery network.
  • Makes Insource versus Outsource decisions balancing the cost and performance levers to maximum effect.
  • Interacts with Global leaders on performance to ensure Operations is delivering to the business expectation.
  • Grooms and develops global talent, making GBS both a talent pipeline as well as a talent destination. Assess aspects of functional performance, cost, productivity, and process against market capabilities to identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a financial, accounting, or business management.
  • Graduate degree desirable in a related field.
  • Candidate should have at least 15 years’ senior-level experience in shared services leadership or consulting, as well as a thorough understanding of end-to-end process management.
  • Experience in BPO is also a big plus.
  • Advance certifications in Accounting, and/or Six Sigma and Project Management a plus.

    The Kimberly-Clark Global Supply Chain function leads the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide strategy and set of initiatives to optimize our global supply chain.     The main purpose of this role is to:
    • Be a key financial partner and strategic advisor to the Chief Supply Chain Officer (a GSLT level role) and her broader Global Supply Chain team

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Chain Finance Leadership. The leader will be a critical member of the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team with specific responsibility to be a key source of financial expertise and counsel. Key customers include the Chief Supply Chain Officer, the VP of Global Safety, Quality, Sustainability, and CI, the Chief Procurement Officer, the Sr. Director of Transportation, Director, KCI End to End Supply Chain, regional supply chain leaders, and their deputies.

  • Lead global supply chain business planning / FP&A, budgeting, business case development, and financial competency building. Apply financial concepts in an end-to-end business context covering manufacturing capacity planning and asset utilization; capital planning, investment and ROI across our entire mill network; S&OP; procurement; logistics and transportation; demand patterns and key drivers.
  • Establish an effective finance / business analysis support infrastructure for the Global Supply Chain organization including direct support and processes to interact with and leverage local and regional resources.
  • Work with the GSC leadership team to coordinate and develop capital investment proposals that support timely and profitable business decisions – this role, along with the Global Manufacturing VP will act as global capital process owners.
  • Establish and operate financial processes that provide timely, accurate and meaningful data to effectively manage the Global Supply Chain and continually improve ROI. Provide ongoing budget and spending control oversight to the GSC team.
  • Ensure application of efficient financial and operating controls supporting K-C’s requirements for an effective control environment.
  • Have shared responsibility for talent development and succession planning within K-C’s Finance community.

Supply Chain Strategy and Analytics. The selected financial/strategic leader will partner and closely collaborate with the Chief Supply Chain Officer and her deputies in the development of the global supply chain strategy and agenda. Additionally, s/he will:

  • Drive programs to influence the organization to make adjustments to existing strategies based upon new insights and learning that lead to higher impact/ROI
  • Partner with CSCO to identify and prioritize potential business opportunities and evaluate potential investments/strategic partnerships by providing leadership and analysis of discrete business projects or initiatives
  • Collaborate with the GSC organization to lead high-impact enterprise-oriented change by actively participating in building and executing supply chain capabilities, business strategies, objectives and plans.

Integrated Planning and Cross-Company Interactions. Work with business unit finance teams to implement end to end supply chain strategies and embed into BU plans – ensuring strategies/plans are correlated and integrated.

  • Be critical catalyst in integrating and aligning global supply chain plans with financial BU plans across Kimberly-Clark – ensure GSC strategies result in actionable plans and get integrated into BU agendas.
  • Drive process improvements designed to increase efficiency within the finance function and K-C as it pertains to optimizing our GSC spend.

Lead a team to provide specialist tax planning advice, identification and management of tax risk, and provide assistance and support to members of K-C corporate, sector and functional teams and regional management in Asia-Pacific, EMEA and Latin America to enable them to effectively conduct K-C activities with the knowledge of US federal and foreign tax laws and regulations. Lead the Corporation in the development and implementation of transfer pricing policies and procedures to provide transparency and certainty to business and to manage tax risk.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Delivery

  • Identify, develop and execute tax planning opportunities that benefit cash taxes and effective tax rate (“ETR”).
  • Assist with US international tax planning, financing strategies and identification and execution of cash repatriation opportunities.
  • Partner with business units, global sector and functional teams, regional management to execute business plans, corporate initiatives, and management of IP and Licensing matters, M&A activity, etc.
  • Lead K-C’s Transfer Pricing practice involving development, implementation and maintenance of policies covering finished and semi-finished goods, contract and consignment manufacturing, commissionaires, royalties, services, interest rates, loan guarantee and other financial arrangements, fixed asset transfers and related documentation.
  • Identify tax risks by working together with US, regional and local finance and business personnel. Support local and regional finance in managing those risks where necessary through contributing resources or taking on leadership roles for tax audits and tax litigation.
  • Provide oversight and support for documentation maintenance around significant transactions, including reviewing Fin48 analysis and assisting in structuring local and regional write-ups in accordance with K-C requirements.
  • Lead the non-US side of APA negotiation, collaborate with the Consulting COE on completion of bi-lateral APA’s, and assure mutual agreement on Competent Authority resolution.
  • Cultivate long-term partnerships with other Tax COE’s, functional teams (Finance, Legal, Strategy etc.) global and regional sector teams, business units, external legal and financial service providers.

Strategy Alignment and Business Partnerships

  • Establish the vision, set strategic direction, and empower the International Tax COE to meet its objectives.
  • Align strategies and objectives and maintain strategic relationships with Global and Regional Business, Global Sector Teams, Finance leaders, Strategy, Legal, Treasury, and all other Tax COEs.

The incumbent will lead through influence, with a small team of direct reports (at the center) and a larger team of indirect reports (in market).  While all elements of pricing will be a primary focus (gross-to-net – including list and contract price optimization, channel pricing strategy, distributor incentives, dispensers, customer terms, sales incentives, etc.), the scope of this role will impact the optimization of overall customer profitability.  Working as business partners, strategic management / guidance and analytics around customer acquisition, customer penetration, and customer loyalty will also be supported by the revenue transformation team.  The work will include all strategy and tactic development up to but not including execution – which will be handled by regional or country sales / management teams.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Develop all facets of the strategic revenue transformation framework through the sales, marketing, business support and finance organizations in targeted KCP markets, including but not limited to the following:

Required Qualifications / Education Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with coursework indicating quantitative and analytical ability.
  • 5 or more years of experience in general business practices and cost and accounting principles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Leadership experience, managing direct reports.
  • Must have strong leadership qualities necessary to coach and develop deputies as well as maintain a strong working relationship within the mill leadership team.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain and/or mill operations.
  • Experience in SAP

The leader of the Global FP&A team provides the strategic global direction for all Financial Planning and Business Analysis at Halyard Health.

Serves as a senior financial advisor to the Halyard leadership team and leads the Global Business Analysis Function.  This is the top financial analysis position with responsibility for analyzing and evaluating alternate global financial plans as they relate to the organization’s objectives. Integral member of the leadership team responsible for providing Halyard leadership and key individuals with timely financial and operational analysis to facilitate and influence sound business decisions including strategy development, business planning, financial forecasting, product and promotion analysis and capital planning. Responsible for building and developing a high potential, global financial planning and analysis staff.

 

  • Partner in a proactive manner with the business teams to develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve desired financial objectives (Net Sales, Operating Profit, Gross Margin, working capital) and identify/manage risks to the plans to close performance gaps as required.
  • In partnership with the corporate strategy team, lead portfolio management analysis/efforts across the Halyard regions and sectors to ensure OGSM/Target, brand strategies, tactics and resources are aligned with portfolio roles.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Halyard business leaders but as a performance challenger to ensure our investment and decisions create value for the business and Enterprise. Influence and evaluate effectiveness of Innovation plans, business pricing and strategies to support delivery of business results.
  • Bring a global perspective to business analysis and decisions, including consideration of currency impacts, country risks, cross-border business challenges, etc.
  • Establish process ownership with appropriate resources to manage the end-to-end business planning process with near term focus on aligning in-flight initiatives to optimize benefit delivery and minimize potential project conflicts.
  • Lead Initiatives such as Forecast process improvement, global management reporting, etc.
  • Deliver reliable, timely and insightful monthly, quarterly and ad hoc business performance and management reporting including but not limited to market, region, channel and customer profitability with comparisons to prior actual periods and forecasts / plans
  • Coordinate and deliver reliable, timely and insightful quarterly business outlook, annual plan and long-range strategic plans to the entire Halyard Health business
  • Deliver analytical insights on working capital, cash flow and SG&A overhead spending trends
  • Prepare presentations for the CFO on budget, actual results, etc. to be presented to the Halyard leadership team, BOD and bond and equity investors
  • Support the development of a variety of financial community communications, including leading or participating in development of materials such as conference call remarks, Q&A, management presentations, Halyard Health Fact Sheet, etc.
  • Provide superior corporate enterprise analysis supporting the strategic direction of Halyard on an ongoing basis and periodic special project work as requested by senior management.
  • Working with the business units, identify, analyze and describe market trends, business initiatives, technological developments and the competitive landscape.  Maintain current knowledge of business developments within Halyard Health, the industries in which its products compete, published information regarding leading competitors, changes in disclosure requirements and trends, trends in investment markets and changes in the economy
  • Work with Corporate Communications, Legal, Compensation and Corporate Accounting staff to assure that information presented in the quarterly reports (10-Qs), Form 10-K, news releases and speeches to stockholders and the investment community is presented in a manner which improves the understanding of and enhances the image of the Corporation.
  • Build a high performing, diverse and action-oriented global FPA team that influences business decisions and results.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Education:

MBA or equivalent advanced degree  Experience:

  • More than 15 years of experience, and greater than half in a multinational/global business, with several years of experience in a leadership position in a complex, progressive, global planning and analysis environment along with a strong track record of personal achievement and advancement.
  • Minimum of 5 years in finance leadership role developing high-performing talent and directing high-performing team(s).
  • International experience is a requirement and an “in-market” experience is preferred
  • Strong experience in a consumer products business and experience in FP&A transformation is preferred.
  • Previous P&L responsibility along with a thorough understanding of strategic and operational planning and forecasting techniques.
  • Must possess and demonstrate high degree of financial, analytical and process leadership competence.
  • Strong strategic agility, critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with exceptional influence and change management skills
