Purpose of the Position:

 

Lead the Global Marketing team and all of the specific functions as they relate to messaging, branding, product management, downstream marketing, healthcare economics, reimbursement, pricing, pricing compliance and competition.

 

Responsibilities (fundamental job duties):

  • Implement marketing strategy, vision, mission and execute against marketing plan.
  • Mentor, coach and develop key players on the marketing team and make sure all projects and priorities are aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Manage marketing functions to support existing and new product lines.
  • Develop new marketing materials to support key surgical specialties and business units.
  • Collaborate with the field organization on messaging and product brand strategies.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for organizational communication, marketing, sales force and distributors and operations regarding product line and marketing materials
  • Provide marketing and customer input to new product development including features/user interface and business plan development.
  • Identify marketing opportunities to drive sales and differentiate product line.
  • Oversee production of materials including publications, brochures, electronic media and marketing communications materials.
  • Manage functions including internal communications, market research, competitive analysis and managed care marketing.
  • Oversee production of training materials including Continuing Education programs for healthcare professionals and fellowship programs for surgeons.
  • Create presentation materials for executive-level decision makers for the hospital and ambulatory surgery center divisions.
  • Collaboration with senior sales leadership to drive & execute sales plan.
  • Establish pricing policy, guidelines and tools to manage compliance.
  • Work cross functionally in a collaborative manner providing input and feedback to Business Development.
  • Cross functional collaboration with functional leaders in Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing & Operations.

 

Additional Duties:

 

Administer industry activities including tradeshows and trade advertising.

  • Supervise staff, agency and vendor relationships.
  • Implement critical customer relationship building programs to build brand awareness, leverage equity and increase product adoption.
  • Support sales force via scheduled field travel.
  • Attend seminars, trade shows, etc. relating to product line.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Planning and Execution

• Coach and Develop team members to execute the established revenue goals within the framework of the corporate strategy.
• Provide Coaching and Development to assess the strengths & weaknesses of each employee and establish a plan for continuous improvement. Ensure that each employee has awareness of and access to the appropriate resources to continuously improve through the documented I-Flow Field Follow up Report and development plan.
• Develop, monitor and adjust (as needed) robust Territory Business Plans with members of the regional sales team
• Proactively communicate with the regional sales team on a weekly basis, including regular conference calls to assess sales leads and performance (and adjust as necessary). • Fully understand and leverage tools, reports and analyses provided by analytics team.
Communicate promptly and clearly any misunderstanding around reporting and analyses.
Leverage salesforce.com (SFDC) to help regional sales team to effectively manage I-Flow sales cycle and harvesting leads.
• Effectively communicate business results to regional sales team and to senior management on a monthly basis, up to and including sales results and their drivers, best practices, risks, gap analyses, and budget adherence.
• Proactively monitor and report to Marketing and Senior Sales Management the issues affecting the region, including pricing, competitive pressures, distribution, talent, market / industry movements and other business and / or customer challenges that impact regional, and potentially, zone and national performance.
• Collaborate with our established recruitment partners to locate, screen and hire all sales personnel for the defined region of responsibility.
• Work with Human Resources to execute the onboarding and off boarding processes.
• Provide vital and timely feedback to Quality and Regulatory teams concerning customer, product, and quality issues.
• Oversee and guide execution of contract strategy for the region, up to and including individual accounts and local buying groups (IHNs).
• Take full responsibility for the training and education of regional sales team, assessing and working with appropriate internal parties to execute training in healthcare compliance, quality and regulatory rules and guidelines, hospital credentialing, corporate policies (e.g., expense management).

Summary:

The Account Consultant is responsible for the positioning and selling of specific products and product solutions within assigned facilities/departments. This includes the technical (features, functions, benefits) sales aspects, and the conceptual sales aspects, and validation of the product cost/value proposition for KC-Medical and competitive products. SUMMARY

Excellent starting position to gain the medical device experience necessary to make the leap over to the lucrative area of O.R. medical device sales.

Assist current Territory Manager with day to day responsibilities.  Call on physicians within different O.R. specialties (Orthopedic, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General, Plastic, OB/GYN, Bariatric, Urology, & Colorectal) demonstrating superior pain management therapy (pain pumps).  Will be trained on O.R. technique and hospital protocol in order to assist surgeon and/or anesthesiologist in O.R. suite.  Call on anesthesiologists to assist and promote CPNB – Continuous Peripheral Nerve Blocks.  Clinical studies available (80+) to support economic sell.  In-service “solution” to multiple departments including O.R., PACU, floors, and pharmacy.  Will call on all hospitals within the greater Las Vegas area.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct product in-service in order to educate hospital staff.

• Schedule product demonstrations and other activities with Doctors, nurses and operating room staff in order to increase product awareness.

• Act as a clinical resource to surgeons, anesthesiologists, physician’s assistants and Nurse Anesthetists to provide the clinical information needed to appropriately use I-Flow’s products (http://bit.ly/iFLOW-products ) according the labeled indications and Directions for Use.

• Generate new sales leads by interfacing with clinician customers and identifying clinical needs for I-Flow’s products.

• Work with surgeons in surgical cases to provide support needed to utilize I-Flow’s products.

• Track allowed expenses and submit via Concur in a timely manner.

• Promote new businesses by utilizing approved marketing material and by developing clinical peer-to-peer relationships within accounts and with professional organizations.

• Conduct follow up on patients as directed and authorized by the prescribing physician while following all hospital and I-Flow policies and procedures and respecting patient confidentiality.

• Participate in I-Flow’s Clinical Hotline as assigned. This includes accepting assignment for hotline on-call on a rotating basis, and submitting hotline documentation in a timely manner. (RN’s only).

• Complete all training assignments in the Kaplan System by assigned due dates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum two or more years of sales experience in the surgical-anesthesia infusion therapy devices Industry.
• Will consider Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Sales experiences.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Comfortable in hospital settings
• Proof of successful sales track record

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge: Surgical-Anesthesia infusion therapy devices market
• Knowledge of competitive products and pricing
• HIPPA, FDA QSR, MDD 93/42/EEC, ISO 13485, CMDR.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 50%
• Two years or greater clinical experience in nursing or a role within the Operating Room such as scrub technician, physician’s assistant or first assist.
