The HRBP is responsible for partnering with the Team Leaders to drive the cultural change and people strategies that support the key business initiatives.   • Driving engagement and high performance in order to leverage talent as a competitive advantage
  • Planning and ensuring effectiveness of key HR processes (recruitment, on-boarding, training, performance management, compensation) within the Jenks facility
  • Attracting, developing and retaining top talent to support business imperatives
  • Driving HR best practices across FC HR team leaders including guidance on best practices, processes, and tools.
  • Acting as a coach for team leaders and employees, contributing to the development of others and self-development.
  • Leading functional HR projects/initiatives on an ad-hoc basis.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. SPHR certification or Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years of progressive HR leadership experience with strong HR generalist background and deep knowledge of HR systems and processes
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Experience working in highly matrixed organizations
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change and influencing and coaching at the executive level
  • Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to develop and align HR initiatives to accelerate achievement of strategic business objectives
  • Strong understanding of industry HR best practices
  • A track record of success in developing team leaders and teams.
  • Prior experience supporting manufacturing and engineering teams and corporate staff functions in a decentralized environment
  • Ability to Travel 15%

  • Position Purpose:

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, MS degree preferred.

  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of labor relations (usually a minimum of 7 years required) to include collective bargaining, state and federal labor laws and current economic and labor relations developments.

Scope: The position reports to the Family Care – HR Director. This position has leadership responsibility for a team of 3 HR Generalists as well as a dotted line to the BCC HR Generalist. This position is also responsible for overseeing the effective operation of the site security team. In addition, this position is responsible for all HR related issues that require attention from external K-C and site sources (i.e., union avoidance, OFCCP audits, EEO claims, etc.)

Position Purpose:

This position provides leadership and takes overall functional responsibility for a broad range of human resource activities and initiatives for the Beech Island Manufacturing Facility to support the safe, effective and efficient manufacture of a broad array of Kimberly-Clark products. Supports line management in attracting, developing, motivating and retaining the best people while building functional HR capability to support current and future enterprise HR needs.

Customers: Key customers include mill and sector management and all employees. The incumbent works closely with the Family Care (FC) Plant Manager and is a member of the BIL FC Leadership Team, providing advice and counsel in the areas of employee relations, organizational effectiveness and talent building. As the senior HR Leader for the facility, this role also serves as a primary mentor and advisor to the junior HR Team Members. This role also provides oversight to the Contract Security Team.

Customer Expectations: Serves as a catalyst for change; helps develop and implement new leadership concepts and supports initiatives that build organizational strength. Leads the development and coordination of HR systems/programs and services that are timely and responsive to identified needs. Provides counsel and advice in all functional HR areas including policy administration, reward and recognition systems, organization effectiveness, employee relations, training and development, conflict resolution, employee engagement, etc.

Expectations and Accountabilities:
– Fully support the safety goals and objectives of the BIL facility in the pursuit of Zero Injuries of Any Kind (ZIAK) safety performance.

– Provide leadership and direction regarding organizational design and management concepts that will assure the achievement of the plant vision.

– Exercise the appropriate level of diligence and participation in the evolution of the “One Beech Island” principle by ensuring that plans and activities that have impact across the entire site are understood, communicated and implemented with the principle in view.

– Lead the development and/or implementation of the full range of human resource services in areas such as salary, wage and benefit programs formulation and implementation, benefits administration and policy interpretation in a multi-sector environment.

– Provide advice and counsel to the Mill Manager and leadership team in areas such as Personnel Selection, Labor and Employment Law, Employee Relations, Union Avoidance, etc.

– Coach and consult with the Mill Manager and Staff on team effectiveness, team leadership, talent management, and organizational effectiveness in setting mill policies in support of long-range mill improvements.

– Must be approachable and skilled in bringing forward employee relations issues and concerns in a manner that builds employee confidence in the incumbent’s ability to hear and understand the issue in a non-threatening manner. In addition, this role must bring credibility as an employee advocate while balancing the needs of an ever changing business environment to ensure employees are treated fairly and free of retaliation.

– Be a coach and mentor to less experienced BIL HR Team members.

– Provide leadership to ensure the organization attracts, develops and retains the best people and fosters an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to fully use their capabilities to improve both their individual and team contributions in achieving desired business results.

– Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates and others who have need to know. Communicate in a way that is timely, complete, candid and clear.

Qualifications/Education/Experience Requirements:

To be successful, the incumbent must possess credibility with both internal and external customers based on the incumbent’s in-depth knowledge of general business practices and human resource services, plus a working knowledge of human resources and training applications from outside resources. Incumbent must have the ability to organize and plan, delegate, lead, encourage and motivate people and maintain effective control.

At least 10 years of business and functional experience is typically required at this level with at least 5 of those years spent at the manager level within a manufacturing environment. Educational requirements include a bachelor’s degree in an area relating to this position with a Master’s degree preferred. Fortune 500 experience and SPHR certification is desired.

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical compensation professional to join the Corporate Compensation Department. The incumbent will provide compensation consulting to HR business partners and team leaders, lead the global survey participation cycle, participate in North American surveys and the annual compensation planning cycle (among other projects), provide advanced analytical support and be the primary administrator for K-C’s compensation management software.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compensation consulting to assigned business units/functions by working directly with HRBPs, attend staff meetings, provide guidance on compensation policies and practices, problem definition and resolution, job evaluation, compensation training, and various other compensation tasks.
  • Conduct job evaluations by meeting with HRBPs and team leaders to understand the job, perform market pricing analyses, employee impact analysis, and issue resolution if needed.
  • Manage the global compensation survey cycle and vendors. Prepare company data for submissions to North American compensation surveys, which requires an understanding of corporate organization, content of key positions, company policies, and compensation programs.  The position analyzes the results of these surveys in order to monitor the competitiveness of the compensation programs.
  • Act as the primary administrator for K-C’s compensation survey management software.  This requires vendor management, annual contract negotiations, user administration, regularly updating employee, job, and structure data in the tool, loading of newly released global survey data, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Work as part of the compensation team that administers global annual compensation planning processes which includes process planning, training, data management, coordination with HRBPs, and system updates in global planning system.
  • Provide analytical services for various Compensation programs and projects to ensure their objectives are carried out in an effective, efficient and timely manner and consistent with plan provisions. This will include data management, audits, reporting, and interaction with HR.
  • Lead various compensation related projects involving design of compensation structure and programs. Ensure programs and policies support and enhance business objectives.
  • Assist with data integrity problem solving and resolution.
  • Participate on process improvement activities associated with leveraging data & technology.
  • Provide ad hoc as well as self-directed research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, issues, etc.
  • Requires 10% travel generally within North America

Basic Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field

5-7 years of related Compensation experience.
Master’s degree and/or CCP, preferred.

Expert analytical and PC skills in performance of complex analysis and modeling.
Knowledge & experience with Workday, preferred.
