The Emerging Technology Senior Leadwill provide emerging technology expertise, depth, mentoring, and leadership within the ITS innovation program. He/she will demonstrate information technology leadership by influencing and driving the investment of new technology innovation, developing new, emerging technology use cases applicable to Kimberly-Clark businesses, and leading proofs-of-concept to test hypotheses aligned to a business strategy. A Senior Technology Research Specialist is able to effectively combine emerging technologies with business needs, and clearly articulate and measure the results while applying business acumen.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter expert with the ability to work at the front end of information technology development, but just as importantly will have a demonstrated ability to drive and implement projects towards commercial realization through strong collaborative interaction with diverse teams. He/she will proactively grow and manage an internal and external network of technology partners enabling early access and visibility to new capabilities, potential partnerships, and the opportunity to influence vendor capability roadmaps.

A significant skill for the Senior Lead is mentoring and teaching other IT professionals to build talent and a pipeline of skilled and knowledgeable personnel within key roles empowered and expected to drive and influence business strategy with technology. Influencing management at all levels to drive alignment and impact are also key skills for this role. The incumbent provides project work direction to senior technical professionals, internally and externally, to deliver new innovation proofs-of-concept and consults to solve difficult business and technology challenges.

This role requires significant collaboration with ITS leaders and strategic business partners needing technology insights, business unit / innovation leaders, as well as internal and external technology experts. It includes gaining senior leader sponsorship for emerging technology proofs-of-concept. A Senior Technology Research specialist must provide thought leadership and effectively communicate and influence senior management / stakeholders on new business opportunities enabled by technology to stay competitive in a digital world.

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology trends and developments over a broad range of information and communications technologies. Monitors outcomes of research work, seeking to identify where technology might be deployed in order to deliver business improvements and competitive advantage. Track a broad range of emerging technologies to determine their maturity and applicability to the K-C business needs and technology strategy.
• Leverages technical depth in emerging information technology to create and communicate research artifacts designed to educate and/or influence the target audience at varying levels of the organization. Proactively mentors and coaches junior technology resources bringing new opportunities to the table that provide growth and new exposure across the organization.
• Develops emerging technology use cases aligned to business problems, opportunities, and strategy. Delivers compelling communication to clearly articulate the business opportunity enabled through technology to educate and gain stakeholder buy-in for emerging technology exploration or proofs-of-concept.
• Drives the growth of the innovation network and ecosystem through vendor, academic institution, peer company, etc. engagement to quickly advance learning and understanding of emerging technologies as well as identify partnerships for exploratory work. Must be comfortable with autonomy to pursue and explore technologies and vendors aligned to a strategy.
• Establish, build, and maintain relationships with new and existing technology partners to gain knowledge and insight into their product / service offerings now and in the future. Must establish a strong rapport with vendors, and display the confidence and ability to influence vendor product / service roadmaps and go-to-market strategies leveraging Kimberly-Clark business agendas, use cases, and ideas that potentially deliver benefit to both parties.
• Determines the appropriate partners(s) to participate in new technology innovation proofs-of-concept to deliver assessing various factors such a readiness, speed, cost, etc.
• Leads the investigation and delivery of technology innovation proofs-of-concept. Selects or heavily influences partner selection for delivery and manages the partner relationship(s) throughout. Defines the initial approach and scope and is a key contributor and/or provides work direction to other technical resources. Guidance may span from a new concept through several innovation stages gates. Strives to deliver results that identify breakthrough technologies that advance business capabilities to win in the market.
• Provides protection to technologies, processes, and products through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.
• Drives and executes team / department strategy working in partnership with various teams and organizations including ITS, Corporate Research & Engineering leadership, and business unit stakeholders.
• Comfortable in a thought leadership position to introduce new concepts that challenge traditional views in order to drive new value.
• Drives collaboration and innovation across teams and departments in order to deliver breakthrough technologies for K-C’s businesses.
• Keeps senior management up-to-date on technology trends and developments, and advises them on commercial implications and associated business opportunities. This includes the CIO and other ITS senior leaders (VPs, Senior Directors), Business Innovation VPs, and Business Unit senior leaders. Advises and briefs other staff as appropriate. Ensures communication of project plans and results to partners, customers, and other team members.
• Participates in various innovation workshops either as a participant contributing new ideas and thought leadership or as an expert and educator in emerging technologies. Stimulates the creation of ideas among colleagues and staff. Works with business strategists and innovators to help them understand the opportunities that technology can provide.
• Has confidence in working in a matrix organization, influencing without having direct decision-making power and drive success by uniting diverse IT teams.
• Comfortable in having autonomy in technology research and partner engagements, demonstrating results through partnerships or successful influence of vendor capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of catering a message appropriately for a given audience as well as applying business acumen to technology opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

As K-C develops its marketing capabilities to market to the consumer and deliver a seamless consumer experience through all touch points, the need to produce content that right for the consumer at the right moment (channel) on the right medium is critical for creating participation. Doing this at scale, in multiple formats, in multiple countries makes the challenge even greater. Individual has direct accountability to drive the technology strategy for content technology (all channels) and technology to achieve scaled content development. This role provides strategic technology leadership on content technology in areas of creation, distribution, consumption, curation and measurement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead the strategy formulation of the content technology landscape: Work with the leader and develop strategy for the evaluation and application of tools that enable content management across earned media, paid media, and owned media. Strategies would include the rationalization and integration of existing and emerging technologies in this space.
Drive the adoption social media platforms by integrating within commercial programs: Working with the marketing technology group with ITS-GSMI, develop re-usable code and snippets that would drive the adoption of social media technology within K-C consumer experience touch points. They should do this by understanding the technical challenges/costs associated with adopting social media technologies within our consumer experiences and working with the team to determine how to codify and simplify enablement.
Enable technology to drive a global scaled content production process: Identify technology capabilities in areas content;
• Planning, research, creation, curation, distribution, promotion, amplification, measurement, and reporting; and determine the technology that enables K-C to achieve its goal of creating content to drive consumer participation and revenue.
• Evangelize content technology to the Business: Actively research, develop points of view, and evangelize content technologies that add value to the business. Will lead discussions that are technical and functional in nature to provide valuable insights for a diverse set of business and technology inclined audiences and build consensus.

The mission for the Senior Manager of Data Innovation & Analytics is to develop and lead a team that defines, and establish programs in Big Data, Data Visualization and Analytics technologies as well as manage data innovation and to succeed in the company’s use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives.

In conjunction with the global and regional business units, corporate functions, and the ITS leadership team, the position is responsible for transforming our valuable data assets into strategic solutions that provide insight to drive business growth, Customer and Consumer insights, as well as developing strategic working relationship between information systems and the business units supported within the organization.

The Sr. Manager will direct and manage information based services that enable more timely and effective use of data innovation technologies including: Big Data, Data Visualization Technologies, Predictive Analytics and the innovative platforms that are changing the way business views its data assets (MPP, In-Memory DB’s, Graph DB’s, NoSQL, etc.). The incumbent will also provide leadership and management for resources and tools that support these technologies on an enterprise-wide basis.

The rapid changes and varieties in IT technologies and practices will require strategic insight and vision on how information can be used by K-C business units for Global, Regional, and local competitive advantage. The incumbent must also be extremely knowledgeable on the end-end end information provisioning process in a global multinational organization, as well as, the technical acumen to influence the vendor community and drive information delivery efficiency and effectiveness. The position also requires excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively communicate goals, plans and status.

The Sr. Manager will be expected to lead multiple simultaneous initiatives with highly skilled teams; manages career development for team; coordinate the ongoing development of global IT plans, projects, and processes; maintains active working relationships with business unit leaders to ensure a high degree of alignment of IT resources to business strategy

Assessing and managing the vast variety of technologies (hardware and software) and their coordinated applications into an array and variety of needs, requires a strategic viewpoint on the part of the incumbent. The incumbent must ensure that the business, staff support and business units serviced are able to take full advantage of state-of-the-art technology and services to ensure cost effectiveness within business units. The incumbent must closely coordinate with ITS peers responsible for technology to ensure a current understanding of technology trends and how these trends shape ITS alternatives presented to the business units. Future cost trends as well as current costs impact the business unit and must be clearly understood.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Initiate and maintain a long-range Data Innovation plan consistent with business objectives. Plans should identify innovative opportunities utilizing both emerging and existing technologies to provide strategic and tactical advantages in planning, managing and exploiting a variety of information sources available to the organization.
• Direct the analysis, development, implementation and support in delivering Big Data solutions for all countries in the appropriate market facing or enterprise manner. Provide the best cost/benefit performance of technologies and services by effectively organizing and utilizing department resources, and managing budgets and projects congruent with cost guidelines and Corporate Financial policies.
• Establish methods and procedures for the use of Big Data, Data Visualization and Predictive Analytics. Engage Global Process Owners to define information needs, agree on innovation targets, and create plans that manage toward the targets identified in the plan. Build a new innovations team responsible for delivering and supporting best practice solutions, methods and processes across the corporation. Develop a communications plan including a website which conveys the plan and results to the corporation’s key stakeholders.
• Establish a state-of-the-art innovation and analytics development team, capable of successful development and implementation. This leader must both hire and build out the existing team to continually improve the quality of resources through career development planning and training. Provide leadership to ensure the organization attracts, develops and retains the best people and fosters an environment which motivates a diverse team to fully use its capabilities in achieving desired business results. The incumbent must ensure that the corporation has leading edge capability in this area leveraging internal and external resources.
• Establish a Center of Excellence that enables the business with self-service information integration (sand-boxes) and advanced reporting. Establish processes for governing the identification, integration, and use of corporate data for self-service; taking steps to assure control, accuracy and validity of information sources. Conduct capacity planning, innovation life cycle analysis, and usage requirements for Big Data. Create strategies and plans for data security and business continuity. Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance.

 

Leadership:
This role will have a number of senior level positions reporting into it that will, in turn, operate a global organization that will have global and local responsibilities across regions. Total headcount of the organization will start at 6 and is expected to be in the 16+ range plus the accountability for the performance of many more external service and software providers.

Job Overview 
The Client Services Leader is responsible for the operational support, project support, and engineering for end user related IT services. Reporting to the Global Infrastructure Leader, this position is global in scope and has direct accountability for the timeliness and quality of IT services provided to K-C Health Care employees, including those at major corporate offices and mills, by IT staff and third party vendors.

The IT Security Technical Sr. Consultant will deliver security technical consulting to internal organizations and Information Technology Services (ITS).

The IT Security Technical Sr. Consultant will evaluate needs of key stakeholders to find solutions to challenging situations. Primary areas of expertise are IT infrastructure, Mergers & Acquisitions, Emerging Technologies (Cloud, BYOD) and information security compliance (HIPAA, SOX, PCI).

This position is very technical in nature. This person will provide guidance and mentoring to teammates and handle technical escalations. Represent information security organization in the most technically, or politically, challenging engagements. Facilitate team operations and ongoing execution of work activity. Backup all teammates in all engagements as necessary/warranted.

Responsibilities: 
• Drive SDL across ITS and business segments, for internal and externally facing applications, including Ecommerce sites, Mobility (Android, Apple IOS), and legacy applications;
• Source code analysis and remediation using Fortify; Network security assessments and analysis for corporate and non-corporate network environments;
• Firewall policy evaluation, review, and design;

Job Overview
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for establishing and maintaining an enterprise-wide and globally oriented information security program to assure information assets are adequately protected. The CISO is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of enterprise-wide information security policy, establishing and operating IT security technology, IT compliance, and IT Disaster Recovery strategies and overseeing the execution of plans reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of K-C Health Care.
The CISO is charged with the responsibility for building an accountable, information security-conscious culture and a system security infrastructure built on high quality standards backed-up by effective operational procedures as well as regular status monitoring and reporting activities. He or she will oversees the creation and maintenance of information security policy, identifies and secures funding/support for security initiatives, leads on-going enterprise-wide security risk assessment and status reporting efforts and is responsible for the creation and roll-out of global security awareness and training programs. In addition, the CISO is responsible for review and direction of business system continuity and disaster recovery plans as well as information security audit and regulatory compliance.

This position requires a visionary leader with strong management skills, a detailed working knowledge of information security technologies and familiarity in leading IT security organization to achieving security compliance for a diversified global organization (PCI, HIPAA and SOX). This position serves as the process owner of all ongoing activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of customers, business partners, employees and business information in compliance with the organization’s information security policies. The CISO must be highly knowledgeable about the business environment and must ensure that information systems are maintained in a fully functional, secure mode.
Principle Accountabilities

 

  • Work proactively with the Chief Information Officer and the broader ITS Leadership Team, the role serves as an expert advisor to senior management in the development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise-wide information security technology, compliance, and disaster recovery that ensures best practice control objectives for system integrity, availability, confidentiality, accountability and assurance within the context of the K-C Health Care’s risk tolerance as set by senior management.
  • Draft and propose the enterprise-wide information security strategy and action plans based on enterprise-wide risk assessment and gap analysis. As a result, identify and propose key information security program priorities, initiatives, practices and tools.
    Oversee execution of approved information security project plans and provide regular status reporting on progress of such projects.
  • Serve as chairperson of the organization’s Cyber-risk Steering Committee. Provide guidance (e.g., information security risk severity assessments / relative cost benefit analysis etc.) and provide recommendations regarding prioritization of system security infrastructure investments that mitigate risks, strengthen defenses and reduce vulnerabilities.
  • Develop business-relevant metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the program, facilitate appropriate resource allocation and increase the maturity of the security program.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain comprehensive information security standards, policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Act as the primary corporate control point during follow-up on significant information security incidents, oversee development of response plans and provide timely update reporting.
  • Collaborate within the Global Information Technology Services (ITS) teams to ensure information security risks in both ongoing and planned operations are properly considered and that all compliance matters are being adhered to as required.
    Monitor information security trends and evolving technologies as well as keep K-C Health Care senior management informed about related information security issues and implications.
  • Understand potential and emerging information security threats, vulnerabilities, and control techniques and communicate this information to appropriate team members throughout K-C Health Care on a timely basis.
  • Provide guidance to business units as necessary to investigate security breaches and to pursue associated potential disciplinary and legal actions in collaboration with the Corporate Human Resources and Legal departments as appropriate.
  • Engage and direct outside consultants as appropriate on information security audits.
    Establish risk-based IT Security, IT Compliance, and IT Disaster Recovery approaches to protect company operations while not unreasonably restricting the company’s ability to do business.
  • Conduct regular and ongoing monitoring of and reporting on enterprise-wide compliance with information security and IT control standards and policies. This includes coordinating the use of external resources involved in the performance of security testing, i.e. penetration tests, vulnerability scans.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit as a business advisor on information security and IT compliance matters.

Qualifications / Experience

  •          Requires a BA, BS or Master’s degree in a Computer Science or Information systems related discipline, a MBA a plus.

The Senior Security Engineer – End Point Security will oversee network security activity to ensure new security technology implementations result in high availability, quality, and secure solutions across the entire Kimberly-Clark environment. The key focus will be toward network security that includes mobility and emerging technologies. This position will work in conjunction with global and regional business units, corporate functions, and the ITS leadership team to ensure K-C network security.

 

The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for evaluating, designing, implementing, and supporting information security applications for end point protection with particular focus on Windows, Linux, and Mobility. Work to design and standardize security solutions and processes across all platforms including virus protection, anti-malware, host intrusion prevention, and application white-listing. They will define, deliver and sustain the enterprise management strategy and solutions from a governance, process, discipline and technology standpoint, to support Kimberly-Clark’s global and enterprise environments covering threat / vulnerability management.

Essential Functions:

•       Provides technical consultation and direction on application design, architecture and system performance, and evolving technologies.

•       Provide expert operational/engineering support for administering endpoint security products

•       Interfaces with Architecture team regarding the ratification and implementation of new Architecture standards.

•       Coordinating with application development and engineering teams to evaluate custom endpoint security solutions.

•       Ensures IT security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IT standards and overall IT security

•       Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents

•       Develops techniques and procedures for conducting IT security risk assessments, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware and software for possible impact on system security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents

•       Identify appropriate platform and application logging and triggers at design that support advanced fraud and cyber detection use cases

•       Provide analytical support to K-C’s  incident response team

•       Maintain an understanding of attacks, vectors and emergent threats

•       Provide tier II support for escalated security incidents

•       Mentor and educate teams with expert knowledge of information security event management, security forensics, network access controls and perimeter security, operations, implementations of new technologies
