The Sr. Service Delivery Lead – Marketing Analytics/CRM supports the service delivery of all the initiatives relating to CRM, Media and Analytics.

Essential Functions:
• Assist with the development of the service delivery strategy across CRM, Integrated Media and Marketing Analytics.
• Manage the portfolio of all the activities being done across the CRM, Integrated Media and Marketing Analytics to assist with prioritization of activities, status reporting and budget mgmt.
• Manage the service delivery of these capabilities to enable on time on track delivery using service providers
• Provide project oversight and guidance to service providers to ensure proper project mgmt. controls are in place

 

Skills/Competencies:

  • Reviews service level agreements, investigates all appropriate means to improve service levels, and recommends new or revised policies or procedures
    • Advises and influences business clients and customers, at management level, regarding the delivery, costs, availability and functionality of services and systems. Develops an effective partnership with suppliers and customers, establishing confidence and respect.
    • Absorbs complex technical information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences. Assesses and evaluates risk. Understands the implications of new technologies.
    • Advises and influences business clients and customers, at management level, regarding the delivery, costs, availability and functionality of services and systems

User experience evaluation:

Works with Customers to establish feedback/assessment of the service provided, from the customers’ perspective, and initiates actions for improvement, where appropriate.
• Performs highly complex work activities covering technical, financial and quality aspects. Contributes to the formulation and implementation of IT strategy. Creatively applies a wide range of technical and/or management principles.
• Takes responsibility for command structure and escalation procedures, and ensures that the requisite operational methods, procedures, facilities and tools are established, reviewed and maintained.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree

Scope:
The incumbent typically reports a Manager within Procurement and is responsible for managing assigned commodities, suppliers, and purchases to meet customer needs.

Utilizing a structured sourcing process you will handle high dollar category sourcing and contract negotiations. In other cases, you will dissect the requirements communicated by the business and express the elements in familiar “category” terms so we can benefit from the value available in a competitive marketplace.

Principal Accountabilities:

Develops a thorough strategic plan to drive value for their category based on an understanding of business unit needs, the supply market, spend baseline and evolution and benchmarking. Effectively document, communicate and gain buy-in for the strategy.

Research, select, develop and maintain adequate sources of supply to ensure that the requirements of the category are met with the optimum quality, service and cost to use.

Ability to successfully reach business objectives through supplier negotiations. Analyzes market and supply dynamics related to supplier proposals to develop a matrix of negotiation scenarios. Engages business leaders to align on acceptable negotiation outcomes. Develops counterarguments, opening positions, and plan for executing negotiations.

Leads the development of risk analyses, assessments and mitigation plans for their category. Manage our supplier network for assigned commodities to provide sufficient materials and services to meet our highest short-range requirements, protect against temporary supply interruptions and provide for our long-range growth needs. Develop and execute a plan to quickly and effectively manage a supply interruption.

Interacts with business units to develop, engage and lead supplier relationships for extracting the greatest value in cost, security of supply, risk management, sustainability and innovation. Manage the ongoing performance of our suppliers including objective setting and supplier evaluations where warranted.

Comprehend and provide constructive input on legal contract documents related to purchasing terms, conditions, indemnification, intellectual property ownership, etc.

Knowledgeable about the markets and how they affect price, availability, or supply chain logistics. Will use specific market analysis to predict behavior and supply risks to the organization. Will adjust strategy to minimize effect of market change. May provide market analysis to customers and advice to others within procurement.

Forecast timely price and availability information on assigned commodities for the various consuming businesses and communicate this information to appropriate personnel in the company so it is properly integrated into business strategy and decision-making.

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, as well as related governmental laws and regulations to ensure purchasing activities are conducted within the parameters of each.

In conjunction with the global and regional business units, corporate functions, and the ITS leadership team, the position is responsible for transforming business analytics into solutions that provide actionable information to drives business growth, Customer and Consumer insights, as well as developing strategic working relationship between information systems and the business units supported within the organization.  The incumbent will direct and manage information based services that enable more timely and effective use of resources. The incumbent will also provide leadership and management for resources and tools that provide business-reporting, solution strategy for information delivery, data administration, data acquisition/integration, analytics, content management, master data management, and strategic development around “CPG big data” on an enterprise-wide basis.  The rapid changes and varieties in IT technologies and practices will require strategic insight and vision on how information can be used by K-C business units for Global, Regional, and local competitive advantage. The incumbent must also be extremely knowledgeable on the end-end end information provision process in a global multinational organization, as well as, the technical acumen to influence the vendor community and drive information delivery efficiency and effectiveness. The position also requires excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively communicate goals, plans and status.  The incumbent will be expected to lead multiple simultaneous initiatives with highly skilled teams; manages career development for team; coordinates the ongoing development of global IT plans, projects, and processes; maintains active working relationships with business unit leaders to ensure a high degree of alignment of IT resources to business strategy  Assessing and managing the vast variety of technologies (hardware and software) and their coordinated applications into an array and variety of needs, requires a strategic viewpoint on the part of the incumbent. The incumbent must ensure that the business, staff support and business units serviced are able to take full advantage of state-of-the-art technology and services to ensure cost effectiveness within business units. The incumbent must closely coordinate with ITS peers responsible for technology to ensure a current understanding of technology trends and how these trends shape ITS alternatives presented to the business units. Future cost trends as well as current costs impact the business unit and must be clearly understood.

Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Initiate and maintain a long-range enterprise systems plan consistent with business objectives. Plans should identify innovative opportunities utilizing both emerging and existing technologies to provide strategic and tactical advantages in planning, managing and conducting business.
  • Direct the analysis, development, implementation and support to deliver reporting and analytical insights for all countries in the appropriate market facing or enterprise manner.
  •  Provide the best cost/benefit performance of technologies and services by effectively organizing and utilizing department resources, and managing budgets and projects congruent with cost guidelines and Corporate Financial policies.
  • Establish methods and procedures for Master Data Governance and Management including tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement. Engage Global Process Owners to define master data and process health metrics, agree on targets, and create plans managing toward the targets. Build a new master data operations team responsible for delivering and supporting best practice data governance and management processes across the corporation.
  •  Direct the justification, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise wide analytics platforms that contribute to the growth and profitability objectives of the business units. Be able to find the right mix of efficiency while balancing global, regional and local information needs.
  • Establish a state-of-the-art development team, capable of successful development and implementation of analytics for the businesses served. Continually improve the quality of team resources through career development planning and training. Provide leadership to ensure the organization attracts, develops and retains the best people and fosters an environment which motivates a diverse team to fully use its capabilities in achieving desired business results. The incumbent must ensure that the corporation has leading edge capability in this area leveraging internal and external resources.
  • Establish and govern information life cycle management. Establish processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata; take steps to assure metadata accuracy and validity. Conduct data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks. Create strategies and plans for data security, business continuity, and archiving. Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance.

Dimensions:

Budget:  This position manages the overall delivery of approximately $18 Million of IT investment.  Approximately $10 Million of that is directly managed via an annual budget of staff and services.  The position also manages the delivery of approximately $8 Million of external services and software that is funded by the PMO budget

Personnel:  This role will have multiple Senior Manager level positions reporting into it that will, in turn, operate a global organization that will have global and local responsibilities across regions. The mission for the Senior Manager of Data Innovation & Analytics is to develop and lead a team that defines, and establish programs in Big Data, Data Visualization and Analytics technologies as well as manage data innovation and to succeed in the company’s use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Masters Preferred)
• 10+ years relevant Data Innovation experience.

  • Understanding in Big Data Technologies: MPP, In-Memory, NoSQL, In DB Analytics, etc.
  • A sought after thought leader knowledgeable in current and future business, technological and industry trends, with a broad network of relationships with other thought leaders.
  • World class knowledge of advanced analytics architecture, deployment, and support
  • Global capability delivery experience and experience leading large projects
  • Demonstrated track record of success in delivering advanced analytics programs
  • Experience leading large teams and leaders of teams
    • Ability to present publicly as a thought leader
    • Proven experience in navigating complex organizations, creative problem solving, and rational experimentation
    • At ease in establishing senior-level working relationships and communications
    • Ability to deliver a clear yet compelling and realistic business case
    • Ability to translate complex technical topics into easy to understand concepts

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge developing strategic planning, leadership, and organization delivery for “Big Data” across a Global Enterprise.
    • Experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis and support of business intelligence initiatives.
    • Previous Hands-on experience with business intelligence design, tools, and reporting.
    • Direct experience in implementing data management processes and procedures for decision support.
    • Strong familiarity with metadata management and associated processes
    • Previous Hands-on experience with database platforms, specifically MSSQL, SAP-BW, HANA, DB2, and Netezza.
    • Working knowledge of data architecture industry trends
    • Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards
    • Previous Hands-on experience of reporting and presentation tools including BOBJ, MSBI, SAP BW, MOBI, HTML5, Flash, SAS, R and other toolsets
