SCOPE

This position has direct impact and accountability for Customer Logistics performance optimization across the $3.1 billion Net Sales KCP business. The strategy in developing this new role is to establish the position first then develop a global collaborative matrix organization including operational leaders from Regional Business Units and Global KCP & KC teams. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Along with the colleagues of the KC & KCP GSC Strategy teams, the incumbent is responsible for providing analysis & standard development to improve Global KCP business results in the areas of Service level, OTIF, Supply Chain NPS, Collaborative Planning, Supply Chain Sensing, Customer Service & Solutions Design to end to end Supply Chain Value. Work is strongly influenced by Global Supply Chain strategies and transformation agenda.
  • He/she is expected to lead medium to large sized KCP global projects managing (indirectly) multiple cross-functional team members and/or be an active contributor in large scaled Enterprise global projects collaborating with multiple cross-functional team members.
  • His/her customers expect from this role thought leadership, end to end Supply Chain expertise and Customer Collaboration experience in order to progress KCP Customer Experience and drive KCP Customer Innovation from Logistics perspective. Expectation is to focus on core Planning Standards elevating Service Level & OTIF and develop advanced Logistics Collaborative, Innovation, Supply Chain Sensing Capabilities.
  • He/she is expected to partner with other members of the different GSC areas in support of their initiatives and possibly external partners such as consultancies, 3PLs, Customers

EXPECTATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develops and supports deployment of Global KCP Standards and Models aligned to K-C Standards and in collaboration with KCP Regions and Global Partners in regards to Service Management System, Go to Market Framework, Net Promoter Score system, S&OP, Collaborative Planning, Digital Customer Platform and other Customer Collaboration capabilities
  • In particular, develops Operational Standards in complement of K-C Standards including RACI process model, Training template, Assessment Tool, Performance Management System and contributes to Organizational and System Design supporting OTIF, FA% and NPS KPI improvement
  • Contributes to Global and Regional Strategy Deployment developing Customer Centric approach by Distribution Channel across each segment of KCP Value Chain from Source to Use
  • Own Global Customer Logistic Dashboard and Performance and pilots Global Service level and Logistics Customer Experience/NPS Improvement in collaboration with regions and Global Business Partners
  • Designs and delivers work-sessions and lead work streams partnering with business experts to analyze, solve problems and identify common global best standard across KCP GSC areas, Regions and Businesses
  • Conducts interviews, leads brainstorming sessions, finds critical business information, and helps Business and Supply Chain leaders develop innovative approaches to their business
  • Ability to research and synthesize Best Practices, Technology and other Standards leveraging internal KCP/K-C or External sources
  • Helps build capabilities by delivering reports with industry best practices, developments, etc., building knowledge repositories, driving innovation/creativity in our analytical toolkit, codifying lessons learned, processes, frameworks and best practices to be shared broadly across the global organization
  • Own Customer Logistics KCP Global Master Data and Data Analytics Standard Systems and contributes to their development in liaison with Global Partners.
  • Monthly Review Global Customer Logistics KPI and collaborate with Regional and Global Operations in order to support improvement performance in OTIF and Supply Chain NPS.
  • Contribute in developing a Customer Centric Culture globally in collaboration with HR and GSC & Regional Leader
  • Active participation in K-C Supply Chain – Logistics committees and new process development and ensure Global KCP representation and voice.
  • Becomes KCP End to End Customer Supply Chain Service matter expert, thought leader and Key Liaison with K-C Enterprise and Consumer Partners

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – CAPABILITIES / EXPERIENCE

  • EDUCATION REQUIRED/PREFERRED
    • Bachelor of Business Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, or Strategy with equivalent experience.
    • Graduate Degree (MBA) Preferred
  • EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS
    • 10+  years of progressive work experience in Supply Chain, Demand and Supply Planning, Customer Care, Sales Operations, Physical Distribution with a history of demonstrated business success.
    • 5+ years of operational business unit experience in Customer Supply Chain & Logistics.
    • Experience with Digital Customer Platform and/or CRM and/or E-commerce.
    • Experience with ERP, Advanced Planning tools, VMI System and Collaborative Planning preferred.

Position Purpose:

Provides leadership to the KCP Customer Care organization for North America. The Director of Customer Care is responsible for the development and tactical execution of the strategic direction for the KCP North America Customer Care organization as well as the day-to-day operations. She/he is responsible for ensuring the Customer Care organization is aligned to advance the company’s mission and objectives, and to promote world class (industry leading) service, revenue, profitability and growth as an organization. This position oversees the entire North American Customer Care operations to insure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. Scope

The position reports to the NA KCP Senior Director Marketing & Sales Operations and is responsible for the development and execution of the strategy and vision of the organization. This position provides strategic and functional work direction to the Customer Care Team and the BPS team. The incumbent also works closely with internal Planning, Distribution, Sales, and Marketing resources to address issues that impact order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. In addition, customer engagement is needed as required to support overall business needs with select customers. This position is also responsible for the prompt entry and coordination of all customer product orders from the receipt of initial communication until final delivery of the order, ensuring the best possible service is provided to customers in the most cost efficient manner.

Principle Accountabilities:

Lead the strategy development and execution of plans to support business objectives. Develop and upgrade Customer Service policies, procedures and strategies. Optimize processes, work standards, region alignment and departmental work flow. Provide leadership, guidance and training to seven team leaders and 65+ customer service analysts focusing on performance, quality, individual development and training objectives. Qualifications / Education / Experience Required

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of logistics or Customer Service experience in a leadership role. Requires incumbent to be a self-starter and have the ability to work with limited supervision or business direction. Individuals must demonstrate ability to lead focused change efforts. Prior functional experience with order management concepts, processes, and systems is required. Multiple sector and/or functional experience is a plus. This person will serve as the team leader and subject matter expert in the management of Wal-Mart Inc.’s forecasting and replenishment processes and systems. POSITION PURPOSE:
This global Director role has accountability for the product supply and supply chain strategies which support the Industrial and Scientific segments of the global KCP businesses.  The position provides strategic Product Supply and Supply Chain support for designated product platforms including; Wipers, Safety, Welding, Gloves and Apparel products.

Consistent with, and in addition to, these global product platform accountabilities, this position also has accountability for the global External Contract Manufacturing (ECM) operations which support the KCP businesses. The ECM team, which reports to this Director role, manages a network of over 150 global suppliers, with $300mm of annual spend. The ECM team works closely with the global Procurement, Quality / Regulatory, Product Development, and Safety / scientific global business teams to manage and optimize long and complex global supply chains from a diverse set of external suppliers. Accountabilities in this area include both the management of ongoing supply chain operations, as well as the development and delivery of central “center of excellence” capabilities and systems.

 

This Sr. Director is responsible to support the segment Product Supply / Supply Chain needs of each of the Regional Business teams (4), the global Scientific, and global Segment Innovation teams. Focus is on the K-C Professional business with specific emphasis on providing liaison between business units and manufacturing organizations in the execution of programs and projects to achieve Sector strategies and financial growth.
PRIMARY CUSTOMERS/CUSTOMERS EXPECTATIONS:

Customers: Regional Business units, global Scientific Business team, Sector Innovation teams, and Product Supply staff. Effective collaboration with the sector/ enterprise Procurement, QAL, and Risk Management teams is essential to success.

Expectations:

  • Ensure Sector’s external manufacturing units meet objectives in safety, cost, quality, productivity, asset management, customer service, housekeeping, and human resource development.
  • Provide leadership for major Sector projects specific to the global Industrial segment business strategies.
  • Provide leadership in building effective partnership relationships between business units, Procurement. QAL/ Regulatory, Product Development and other sectors.

Position Purpose

The position reports to the Sr. Director of N.A. Regional Transportation & Operations and is primarily responsible for deploying and delivering global transportation supply chain strategies at a regional level, which support stated business objectives through understanding of broad transportation concepts and environment. Leads a team of salaried Transportation professionals (includes 1 Manager and total team size of 20-25). Will organize and implement effective plans and understanding of transportation strategy relating to customers. Manage the transportation function through knowledge of policies and procedures. Coordinate and communicate transportation activities to others inside the organization as well as outside, to increase visibility, awareness of issues and opportunities, and ensure alignment with business and supply chain objectives.

Expectations 

  • Oversee Customer Service improvement activity to ensure the Transportation group delivers the best possible capacity, cost and service solutions to KC.
  • Ensure smooth support of annual bidding events, led by Procurement.
  • Direct operational transportation rates and procure market solutions with North American freight providers, leveraging K-C scale and procurement practices.
  • Work with Procurement to develop and nurture relationships with K-C transportation providers managed to insure K-C is a preferred shipper to achieve a distinct competitive advantage in the market place.
  • Direct implementation of rates and analysis within the executional process for all modes of transportation including Truck, LTL, Ocean, Package, Rail, and Air.
  • Monitor developments in the transportation industry related to rates, capacity, fuel and regulations taking appropriate care to protect the enterprise and improve competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with government relations to insure legislators are aware of the economical impact on transportation legislation that impacts K-C’s business plans.
  • Forecast, develop and submit transportation rates by business for budgets and business analysis, tracking and reporting results to insure accuracy.
  • Support indispensable partner to customer and growth initiatives by initiating and/or participating in the development of innovative service offerings with customers and transportation service providers.
  • Insure K-C compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and other regulatory agencies that directly or indirectly have domestic transportation touch points. Direct the freight approval process ensuring compliance to internal controls, that carrier payment terms are honored and working capital is effectively managed.
  • Direct the recovery of product loss and damage through O.S.D. claim filing.
  • Direct the approval of freight payment insuring K-C bills are paid on time and within working capital guidelines.

Position Description:

Provide leadership for all finance, logistics and procurement functions at the Beech Island mill.  This position is the key source of senior financial expertise as a member of the site leadership team and ensures the mill’s financial accounting systems are in full compliance with the Corporation’s policies and procedures.  This position also has responsibility to ensure effective and efficient handling of raw materials, finishing supplies and finished product.  The incumbent provides leadership to both K-C and outside service providers to accomplish these responsibilities.

Customers and Customer Expectations:

Key customers include mill and staff product supply management teams, mill operations and support teams, and staff finance teams.  Deputies require coaching, training and opportunities for continued self-development that enhance present performance or to prepare them for future advancement.  Other customers expect: timely and accurate analysis and reporting support; properly managed plant and equipment assets; management of distribution, material flow and procurement functions; and, counsel to support sound financial and business decisions.

 

Scope:

This position ensures the delivery of business objectives, through serving as:

  •        Key source of business and technical knowledge, counsel and strategic financial analysis
  • Key logistics leader for the facility the incumbent has responsibility to lead, develop, and manage activities of a team, responsible for finance, internal controls, procurement, stores, material flow and distribution

Principal Accountabilities:

 

  • Provide business counsel as a member of the mill leadership team to develop and execute effective strategies to achieve targeted business results. Ensure mill financial strategies, objectives and tactics are aligned with business unit and enterprise objectives.
  • Design, maintain and operate financial systems and analytical tools in order to provide effective decision support. Collaborate with other Finance Teams and Staff Finance Team to drive continuous improvement and standardized business processes.
  • Manage, coordinate and develop the finished goods distribution and material flow functions of the mill (shipping, receiving and warehousing) to ensure efficient mill operations and attainment of benchmarks and objectives.
  • Confirm that mill financial results are reported in a manner that is timely, accurate and consistent with Corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ensure that the organization is staffed with qualified, trained, and motivated personnel by encouraging and counseling continued self-development in areas that will enhance present performance and/or prepare deputies for advancement.
