POSITION PURPOSE: 

Lead the Neenah Nonwovens Mill (NNF) manufacturing facility to achieve all operational objectives for safety, quality, customer service, cost, asset management, and human resources development.  

CUSTOMERS AND CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS:

The customers of NNF are primarily the Baby & Child Care, the Adult & Feminine Care and Kimberly-Clark Professional businesses.  The customers expect products manufactured at specified quality levels, budgeted costs and meeting all other business requirements.

SCOPE:

The incumbent reports to the Senior Director Manufacturing and Logistics, Global Nonwovens Sector.  The position is responsible for all site, operational, and community relations needs.  The NNF Mill produces a broad range of materials and products.  The incumbent must establish and achieve all business objectives for the facility and customers.  The incumbent must also drive continuous improvement so that NNF Mill continues to improve as a competitive unit of Kimberly-Clark.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, supply chain or related fields required.
  • Ability to organize and plan, delegate responsibility and authority, lead and motivate people, and maintain effective control.
  • At least 7-10 years of manufacturing experience, building and leading cross functional teams.
  • Broad knowledge and extensive experience in business management, including the successful management of a major manufacturing unit or functional department
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement and Integrated Lean Six Sigma is highly desirable.

SCOPE:

Incumbent reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing – North America Baby & Child Care and is responsible for all site activities at the Maumelle Facility.

The main challenge is to establish and achieve business objectives in the areas of safety, quality, customer service, cost, environmental, and community and employee relations.

The Maumelle Facility produces baby wipes in support of the Baby & Child Care Business. The Maumelle facility contains 8 converting lines used for the manufacture of baby wipes, 2 Coform manufacturing lines used to produce raw material that is converted into baby wipes and a solution mix operation used to prepare and deliver solution formulations to the converting lines.

The incumbent must coordinate activities and business strategies with the Conway Facility Manager on the topics of mutual interest and advantage. The incumbent must also work closely with the Mid-South Distribution Center operator to assure Kimberly-Clark’s positive presence in the community is maintained.

Position Purpose:

Lead and manage Tijuana operations’ capability and performance to help Health Care achieve its net sales, operational profit and gross margin objectives by meeting product supply sector goals.  Incumbent will be on US Payroll but required to work in Tijuana, Mexico

Expectations:

  • Ensure that Tijuana organizations establish and meet objectives in safety, quality, cost, productivity, customer service, asset management, force savings, lean manufacturing, and human resource development to achieve vision 2015.
  • Product Supply manufacturing activities are integrated with Go to Market strategies.
  • Provide effective leadership to encourage continuous improvement and Lean certification.
  • Provide leadership in the prioritization and implementation of capital budgets
  • Lead and manage a manufacturing culture based on high performance work teams.
  • Ownership in the implementation of new production lines and the launch of product into the market.
  • To own the effectiveness of the Quality Management System in Tijuana.

Scope:

Incumbent reports to the Health Care Director for Medical Devices. He/she has broad management responsibilities for manufacturing and manual processes related to Medical Device manufacturing. The incumbent provides leadership for the Tijuana operation team to meet challenges faced by manufacturing while achieving goals and objectives.  The role has line operations accountability and requires internal and external coordination of projects and programs for successfully implementation within Health Care guidelines and expectations.

The main challenge of this position is to effectively influence across functional areas in an integrated manner within Global Health Care to ensure successful implementation of line operations and cost saving activities

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • This position requires knowledge and ability typically associated with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent training and experience

The Plant Manager will lead the Adult and Feminine Care Nuevo Nogales Manufacturing Facility.

Position Purpose: 

Leads, directs, and controls the day-to-day activities of the AFC Nuevo Nogales manufacturing facility to achieve the short and medium-term financial and operating objectives set by the overall  organization business plan. Works collectively with Union Representatives to drive a highly enabled and engaged workforce.  Responsible for activities such as operations, maintenance, FDA, Health Canada, ISO regulated quality control, engineering, supply and logistics, distribution, customs, accounting, IT, and administration.

Customers and Customer Expectations: 

Key Customers for this position are end users of products, sector management, regional sales management and marketing personnel, site managers, and mill associates.

Expectations are:

  • To safely and economically produce quality products and services
  • Properly manage, maintain, and develop assets; e.g., materials/inventories, equipment, and personnel
  • Ensure that organization is optimally structured to support business objectives
  • Furnish collaboration support to site management
  • Work collectively with the collective bargaining unit to maintain a safe and positive work climate and working conditions.

 

Scope: 

The main challenge is to establish and consolidate business activities in Nuevo Nogales while achieving business objectives in the areas of safety, quality, customer service, cost, environmental, community, and employee relations.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead loss control throughout the organization by visibly demonstrating that safety is embraced as a value.  Provide resources, develop safety systems and maintain those systems in accordance with Kimberly-Clark loss control management to achieve a safe working environment.  Establish and ensure achievement of safety objectives and fully comply with corporate loss management policies as well as government safety and health regulations.  Consistently follow the AFC Leadership Roles & Responsibilities Instruction and ensure all team members adhere to the Loss Prevention & Control Leadership Matrix.  Maintain awareness within group members of the personal and work dangers from improper use of drug and alcohol.  Deal quickly within corporate guidelines, with any safety, drug or alcohol issues.
  • Execute appropriate Power of Attorney activities on behalf of Kimberly-Clark in accordance with CFIs, Code of Conduct and other guidelines, requirements and legislation.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and management controls for the facility in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Represent the facility in Quality issues concerning the quality system, products or actions related to the quality system.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of the requirements of ISO-13485, FDA / GMP according to the policies and procedures already established.  Achieve and maintain certification required assuring the availability of product in the North American market
  • Provide Lean leadership and thinking to the facility teams to ensure accomplishment of facility and AFC sector objectives and to create an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Develop, execute and keep a viable system of preventive maintenance that gives support to the team and technology already existing; and beside putting in practice automation projects.
  • Drive positive employee relations with the Collective Bargaining Unit.  Represent the company in Collective Bargaining Agreements. Lead the Operations in a manner that assures that all employees are treated in manner consistent with KC Policies and practices.
  • Establish community relations to ensure that Kimberly-Clark is perceived as a good corporate citizen and a preferred employer.
  • Develop and maintain a favorable employee relations climate that will result in all Associates considering their facility a fair and equitable place of employment with opportunity for personal development and advancement.
