SCOPE:

Incumbent reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing – North America Baby & Child Care and is responsible for all site activities at the Maumelle Facility.

The main challenge is to establish and achieve business objectives in the areas of safety, quality, customer service, cost, environmental, and community and employee relations.

The Maumelle Facility produces baby wipes in support of the Baby & Child Care Business. The Maumelle facility contains 8 converting lines used for the manufacture of baby wipes, 2 Coform manufacturing lines used to produce raw material that is converted into baby wipes and a solution mix operation used to prepare and deliver solution formulations to the converting lines.

The incumbent must coordinate activities and business strategies with the Conway Facility Manager on the topics of mutual interest and advantage. The incumbent must also work closely with the Mid-South Distribution Center operator to assure Kimberly-Clark’s positive presence in the community is maintained.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 Manage the overall production and distribution operations and expansion projects as dictated by priorities and sound business judgment and in conformance with established policies, procedures, guidelines, budgets, standards and/or specifications, to ensure achievement of all facility objectives.

 Develop and maintain high levels of quality awareness that will assure conformance to product specifications and focus on continuous improvement of manufacturing and

 

 

administrative processes. Ensure that effective methods and tools are utilized to cause an ever-improving capability of product and quality of services. Observes all applicable Quality procedures and regulations. Performs tasks utilizing Good Manufacturing Practices and Lean Principles. Demonstrates an understanding of the Facility Quality Policy and how it affects his/her job.

 Establish and a maintain an optimum facility organization, by providing an environment which allows employees to develop themselves to their maximum potential and will result in all employees considering their facility a fair and equitable place of employment. Establish and maintain an effective dialogue with the employees through frank, open and timely assessments of performance; identify skill development needs and opportunities for development activities and recognize and reinforce employee development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The position requires knowledge and ability typically associated with a bachelor’s degree. Prior experience in managing a regulated manufacturing process is preferred. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related discipline

Accountabilities in this area include both the management of ongoing supply chain operations, as well as the development and delivery of central “center of excellence” capabilities and systems.

 

This Sr. Director is responsible to support the segment Product Supply / Supply Chain needs of each of the Regional Business teams (4), the global Scientific, and global Segment Innovation teams. Focus is on the K-C Professional business with specific emphasis on providing liaison between business units and manufacturing organizations in the execution of programs and projects to achieve Sector strategies and financial growth.
PRIMARY CUSTOMERS/CUSTOMERS EXPECTATIONS:

Customers: Regional Business units, global Scientific Business team, Sector Innovation teams, and Product Supply staff. Effective collaboration with the sector/ enterprise Procurement, QAL, and Risk Management teams is essential to success.

Purpose of the Role:

Provide engineering and manufacturing operations leadership to support the delivery of $500MM net sales by 2020 and $2B by 2025 at targeted costs. Ensure FDA/Global regulatory approvals, and commercial supply of the Sofusa™ combination product for multiple drug candidates.

 

Role Accountabilities:

 

  • Deliver a Continuous Supply of Sofusa™ Combination Products
  • Lead the design, engineering, purchase, installation, start-up, and validation of all required manufacturing equipment with external CMOs.

Lead the Breakthrough OEE pillar that drives the “wildly important goals” aka  WIGs. This is a multi-year strategic plan that drives transformational  improvement (10-20 % +) for realized capacity results. It includes development  of technical solutions and allocation of resources for the sector.
• Annually, lead the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) process to drive  realized capacity and capability improvements; execute the 5-year mass  balance gap analysis business process and deploy OEE annual business  imperatives across staff and mills.
• Lead the Product Supply reliability program, coordinating and integrating  reliability strategies across the Family Care mills and staff R&E to deliver  against annual business imperatives.
• Ensure technical alignment and support for Family Care’s Operational  Excellence (OpEx) transformation and annual imperatives.
• Lead the development and deployment of Manufacturing Execution System  (MES) as an enabler for OEE improvements and quality management systems.
• Key influencer and voice of operations with the R&E team; with emphasis in  the Life-Cycle Management (LCM) team
• Coordinates the process planning and execution for WIGs performance review  cadence.
• Influence and support Build for Success cost savings programs and goals.

Scope:

The incumbent will interact with a wide variety of contacts inside and outside the company, including all business functions, both at staff and at operational locations, and will lead master data strategy development and planning. He or she will be called upon as a subject matter expert in master data, and must be capable of providing training and support to all users in a way that is grounded in the business objectives. A team of master data analysts and contract manufacturing analysts will report to the position, and the role will be responsible for all performance management, training and development of the Analysts.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Identify strategic opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the master data team, and the accuracy and viability of all master data. Organize and lead projects which support the strategic direction and projects of Product Supply.
  • Act as the central leader and a subject matter expert for training, documentation, support, and coordination for plant and staff roles which are involved with master data – i.e. plant recipe management associates, planners, master data analysts, etc.
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem solving support for functional areas which rely upon master data for proper functioning of the SAP system – i.e. customer service, product costing, planning, regulatory, etc.
  • Create, validate, and maintain master data for SAP and APO, including recipes, product master, material master, and planning specific data. Ensure that all elements of master data meet defined standards and lead to effective SAP and APO functionality.
  • Support the reporting needs of the business by providing data gathering and analytics support. Ensure that reporting is accurate, timely, and provides user flexibility and visibility.
  • Support business integration activities through collection, analysis, and preparation of master data in order to support a timely startup of accurate master data for the new business.
